Tonight’s dinner: panfried hoki fillets, just dipped in flour seasoned with salt, pepper and herbs; orange mash (boiled pumpkin and carrots, mashed together); green beans (frozen ones tonight); and special potatoes – sliced and boiled until cooked but still firm, and then finished off in the pan with fried onion, garlic and egg. The orange mash was lovely and sweet. I added a teensy bit of unsalted butter to it (Jac had hers butter-less). Everything was delicious! I’m now having a cup of tea.
