Another excellent barbie at Lou and Dan’s, Part 2

It was a BYO meat barbie. Dan had a couple of barbies on the go, and they were soon loaded up with meat. Friends and family can see photos on Flickr of blokes (Dan and his mates) standing around the barbies holding beers and tongs, doing what blokes do at barbecues. :)

Here are rissoles and chops for the kids (yep, still raw, newly popped onto the barbie) and of course, an essential part of any good barbecue, onions!

See – I wasn’t kidding about the barbecues being loaded with meat!

Jac and I brought chicken thigh filets for our lunch. Jac made up a barbecue marinade for them (sorry, there is definitely no recipe for it because she made the marinade from scratch with whatever she felt like at the time and she can’t remember what she did). As you can see, the chicken made a spectacular mess on the hot plate. It tasted really good too (photos of the cooked chicken are coming up in the next post).

Dan also barbecued vegetable shishkebabs for everyone!
