Mixed sushi

I wasn’t completely bingey this week, I suppose. This is the mixed sushi I had for lunch in the Carillon Arcade in town on Tuesday. L-R: chicken katsu and cucumber with mayonaise and barbecue sauce; seafood extender (also known as surimi) with egg (also known as tamago), cucumber, avocado and mayonaise; teriyaki chicken, cucumber and mayonaise. The chicken katsu ones were the best – the barbecue sauce really added an extra level of deliciousness. I’m not a fan of seafood extender – I really don’t care for its taste or texture, but the presence of the egg helped. I love that sweet Japanese egg.
