Easter Monday brunch

On the Easter Monday public holiday, Jac and I had brunch at Hungry Jack’s with our friend K.

I think it’s great that you can order from the regular menu at breakfast time at Hungry Jack’s. I often don’t feel like standard breakfast food at breakfast time and would much prefer a burger and fries. Jac is much the same. We had burgers and fries and I also ordered a serve of onion rings.

Burgers, fries, onion rings and drinks

I hadn’t eaten onion rings for so long! They really hit the spot.

The fries tasted just a little on the old side.

I had a Whopper as my burger.

Jac had a Bacon Double Cheeseburger Deluxe with lettuce and onion. She always asks for heavy lettuce and onion. On this occasion, they didn’t quite get the “heavy” part. The burger looks pretty good though, don’t you reckon?

K stuck with the breakfast menu and had a cheesy omelette wrap meal.

K declared the hash brown to be crispy and tasty.

What cheesiness lurked inside?

Cheesy omelette wrap

Not much, apparently! I didn’t think the cheesy omelette wrap was very cheesy at all. I’d of expected the cheese to be oozing out of it once K had bitten into the wrap but it was barely visible. K thought the cheesy omelette wrap was bland and needed sauce as well as more cheese. A lot more cheese. None of us thought it deserved being called “cheesy”. The egg was nice and chunky though.

Apparently, beneath its chocolate-dusted frothy white top, the cappucino was very dark and strong.

It’s good catching up with friends over junk food. Especially if you all agree to go for a nice walk afterwards. And we did.
