Saturday burger brunch

Last weekend, we went to the shops on Saturday morning. We stopped for a burger brunch at Leonardo’s.

Jac had the BELT (AU$11.95) – bacon, egg, lettuce and tomato in a fresh bread roll, served with Supacrunch chips.

I had the Hawaiian burger (AU$11.95) – with a beef pattie, loads of bacon, pineapple, lettuce and tomato. The burger also includes cheese, but I had mine without. I loved the Supacrunch chips – they have a thin, barely visible layer of batter on the outside, which gives them their extra crunch. I asked for tomato sauce to dip my chips into, and was presented with the squeeze bottle of sauce rather than a dipping bowl of sauce – bonus!

I got Jac to hold my burger up for a photo so you can see it properly. Lots of bacon. Between the bacon and the burger pattie are two slices of tinned pineapple.

After brunch, we went to Orbit Fitness and I bought myself an exercise bike. Just in time for those rainy winter days when I can’t go walking for exercise. I’ve been using it every day since I assembled it last Sunday arvo. It was good fun putting it all together. It came with the required tools too – an allen key, wrench and Phillips screwdriver. Obviously, with all that I eat, I need regular exercise to stay in reasonable shape. I’d rather increase the exercise than eat less. But having said that, it’s not like I eat everything I’d actually like to! There would be so many more photos of KFC and pork crackling and custard puffs featured at this site if that was the case. :) And even more bacon, drenched in maple syrup. Actually, everything drenched in maple syrup. Hahahaha.
