I love Christmas ham! This time we enjoyed thick slices of ham lightly panfried, served with French toast and maple syrup. We had leftovers from two different Christmas hams this year, which we froze and then retrieved later. This was the ham from Christmas breakfast with my family.
There really isn’t that much more to say! I loved every bite of salty ham and sweet golden-brown eggy bread. Not a drop of maple syrup was left behind as I wiped the plate clean with the ham and the bread… and my tongue. Yes, that is totally true! But hey, I was in the privacy of my own home. I reckon everyone should be allowed to lick their dishes if they wish in their own home (well, maybe not if you’re trying to teach kids proper manners, but we’re all adults in our house!) >:-P
