The sale of our old house and the purchase of our new house settled on the same day – the sale of the old at 11am, the purchase of the new at noon. We were lucky and got possession of the keys to the new house ahead of time and were all moved in before settlement. :D Once settlement was confirmed, we dropped the keys off at the real estate agent’s office. This is what they had waiting for us – a basket of goodies to say “Congratulations”! There was even a bottle of sparkling wine in there. AND two real glasses! Not plastic, glass! (Actually, clumsy TFP almost broke them! Almost. :D)
