Lunch – pancakes with bacon and maple syrup

Our plan for the Saturday was: sleep in, have pancakes with bacon and maple syrup for breakfast, clean house, get ready to go out to dinner with Juji and Jay (that post next). Unfortunately, Jac had to go to work in the morning for a couple of hours. That didn’t stop us from having pancakes […]

Dinner and bento – fried chicken with ginger vegetable stir-fry

DinnerJac sliced up chicken thigh fillets and marinated them with salt and pepper. She then coated the chicken in “Kentucky” seasoning – we buy this in a box from the asian supermarket (see this photo of “Kentucky” seasoning). I added a little freshly cracked black pepper on the egg and tomato. Jac served the bread unbuttered. The garlicky oil would provide plenty of flavour for the bread. You […]

Krispy Kremes

Unfortunately, the movements of their journey caused them to shift around in the box, bumping into one another, and some of the icing/glazing even began to melt (it was a very warm night). Still, it didn’t stop me from enjoying them the next […]

Dinner – takeaway noodles in a box

On one of the nights Jac was away I went to Noodlebox (118 Royal St, East Perth) after work and got a takeaway regular chicken pad thai. I ordered my pad thai without peanuts but with fish cake. I love fish cake so much, especially in a noodle stir-fry. Noodlebox’s regular size is HUGE. Sometimes […]
