Saturday in town, part 2

A little while after our pomme frites snack, we decided to grab a hotdog from the Hotdog Oasis stand in the Hay Street Mall. I asked the hotdog bloke if I could take photos, and he didn’t mind. Here he is assembling Jac’s “Frankfurter”, and then posing for me!

The smell of the cooking sausages and fried onions was sooooooo good.

There are three kinds of hotdogs on offer, all for $3.50 each. Jac had the “Frankfurter”, which is a frankfurter with fried onions and sauces of your choice (she had plump squirts of ketchup and mustard). She also asked for cheese in her hotdog, which cost an extra 50 cents. I couldn’t decide which of these shots was better, so I included them both (of course, you can click on them to see larger versions):

There’s a “Cheesey American” hotdog, which features a cheese-filled wiener, but I didn’t feel like cheese today – I had the “BBQ Sausage” with a plain old beef sausage, fried onions and sauce (barbecue sauce, in this case). Because I took my time taking photos, it had cooled a little by the time I bit into it, which was good – I usually burn my tongue eating hot food because of my over-enthusiastic steam-shovelling.

There are a couple of friends and family-only shots of Jac eating her hotdog too, at Flickr.

We had all these good intentions to eat more healthy food, but we were bad today. Oh well. I promise to be good next week. Heheh.
