Breakfast for lunch at Ba Ba Black

Last Friday, J and I had lunch at Ba Ba Black (Shop 25, 60 Royal St – Cnr Plain St, next to The Royal pub). The last time we ate there, J had breakfast for lunch. This time, we both did. :)

I ordered the fried egg with bacon and chilli jam with toasted Turkish bread. The chilli jam is made on the premises – it was sweet yet savoury, with a strong chilli flavour and a pleasant bite. I enjoyed this dish, but I think next time I’ll just order standard bacon and eggs and ask for good old tomato sauce on the side.

J ordered poached eggs on toast. As soon as our meals arrived, J proceeded to mash an egg on each slice of bread. Our eggs were perfectly cooked – our yolks were wonderfully gooey.

Ba Ba Black serves breakfast until 3pm daily.
