Another HJs breakfast
I wrote a few posts on Saturday but didn’t feel like actually posting them. I’ve had a lot on my mind, still have a lot on my mind – I’m not sure if I will write about it here or not. Anyway, here’s the food.
On Thursday morning I got an earlier train so I could sneak in breakfast at Hungry Jack’s before catching my bus to uni. This was bound to happen eventually – my bus goes right past HJs every day and HJs has been slowly building in intensity within the “persistent cravings” part of my brain.
I really should eat something different just so there will be a photo of something new, but this Aussie Brekky is my favourite. I like it for similar reasons as to why I like McDonald’s Big Breakfasts – besides that I like how everything tastes, it’s all about the different textures – the chewy meaty sausage pattie, spongy muffin (this one spread with soft whipped butter, mmmmm), crispy hash brown and rubbery eggs. (the only time I tolerate and actually like rubbery eggs is in these fast food breakfasts). Jac’s brother’s fiancee reckons the McDonald’s hash browns are better because they are super crispy, much crispier than the HJs hash browns. I don’t know, this one was pretty damn crispy and very good. I kind of wished there had been two (I know I could’ve just ordered another one, but that would be sooooo bad).
