Soup with lots of stuff in it
Last night’s dinner was created by Jac to use up various bits and pieces in the fridge. It was like a tomatoey soup (she pureed the tomatoes herself and added powdered beef gravy), with lots of stuff in it – pasta spirals, fresh tomatoes, green beans, onions, garlic, chicken, english spinach, field mushrooms (sliced thickly so they were nice and meaty!) and pork balls (frozen ones from an Asian supermarket). Jac topped the soup with some shaved parmesan too – yum. It probably sounds weird and looks strange, but it was great – we both enjoyed it and I even had seconds. We’ll probably enjoy the leftovers all over again tonight for dinner.
