So much pizza!

Jac’s friends came over for another party meeting recently. The plan was to have drinks, talk about the party-related stuff, order pizza home delivery, jump into the spa while waiting for the pizza to arrive, then get out of the spa to eat pizza. We ordered four pizzas and a couple of garlic breads between the six of us.

Pizza #1: Chicken Monaco with Deep Pan Crust. It has special tomato sauce, cheeze, seasoned chicken, fresh tomato, onion and mushroom.

Pizza #2: Supreme with Thin ‘n’ Crispy Crust, which is topped with special tomato sauce, cheese, pepperoni, beef, bacon, onion, capsicum, mushroom and pineapple.

Pizza #3: Godfather with Thin ‘n’ Crispy Crust, with tomato herb sauce, cheese, pepperoni, bacon, fresh & sundried tomato, capsicum, mediterranean style olives, oregano and garlic.

Pizza #4 was supposed to be a BBQ Chicken and Bacon with Thin ‘n’ Crispy crust, and although the girl I placed the order with on the phone carefully read my order back to me, someone at Dominos must’ve fscked up when getting the deliveries ready- what we got instead was another Supreme, with their new puff pastry crust. I guess whoever ordered the Supreme with the Puff Crust would have been really pissed off to receive our pizza. We couldn’t be bothered to ring up and complain because our hunger far outweighed any indignance or annoyance we may have felt at that stage. Jac found the puff pastry crust quite strange – she didn’t like it at all – I thought it tasted pretty good (well as you probably know, I like pies, so it’s not that surprising that I would like a pizza made with a puff pastry crust). I quite liked the texture of it – a cross between crispy, flakey and chewy. It must be loaded with even more calories than Deep Pan though. It definitely had the buttery pastry flavour you just know is bad for you. Heh. Thin ‘n’ Crispy is still my favourite crust though.

My plate, with a slice of each and some garlic bread. There are more pizza pics at my Flickr site too, if you’re interested.

It will be a busy weekend. Tomorrow morning we need to go to the shops, and in the afternoon, we have more friends coming over for spa and food (should be fun! Noooooo, we’re not doing pizza again – we’re not doing pizza for quite a while, I think!). On Sunday I plan to do my reading for class and write up my lesson plans. I get to sleep in on weekends – no 4:30am alarm – yay! But then for me sleeping in on weekends is probably only like, 7 or 8am (I am very much an early bird)!

Edit: And to those of you who emailed me this week, I’m still working through my emails and will get back to you as soon as I can.
