Tuesday night

Dinner tonight, cooked by Jac, was soyaroni with bacon, tomatoes and snow peas. While the pasta was cooking in a pot of hot water, Jac fried up diced bacon, onion and lots of garlic in the wok. It smelled heavenly – frying bacon, onions and garlic – three of the best smells in the world, I think! She then added the snow peas and tomatoes (red and yellow bell tomatoes, roughly sliced). The snow peas were still crisp and firm but cooked so they no longer had that raw green taste, and the tomatoes wilted and got lovely and soft. When the pasta was ready and had been drained, it was simply stirred through the stuff in the wok. Easy peasy, and very tasty. I’ll having leftovers for my lunch tomorrow.

Soyaroni

Another unremarkable day. I am about to have a cup of tea and the very last of the sultana cake.
