Hokkien mee with chicken (AU$9.50) from Sun Sun at Carousel Shopping Centre. I bought it takeaway, popped it in a bowl when I got home, swapped the disposable wooden chopsticks for a pair of our plastic ones and tucked in. I find the disposable wooden chopsticks you get with Chinese or Japanese takeaway annoyingly splintery, which is probably due to a fault in my chopstick splitting technique. The noodles were garlicky and wonderfully saucy. Noodle sauce trails on my chin and licking the bowl clean at the end (terrible manners I know – but Jac was at hockey and the cats don’t care!)… bliss.
