Short stories: Hot buttered corn
My favourite Royal Show snack is hot buttered corn on the cob, served on a stick. There’s nothing quite like the bursty pop of buttery, juicy hot corn. It’s not the easiest thing to eat and gets messier as you work your way down the cob, but oh, it’s wonderful. Even on rainy grey Sunday, I had my taste of sweet sunshine.
Just as yum cha would be incomplete for me without egg tarts, a day at the Show just wouldn’t be right without hot buttered corn. I always choose garlic butter. What treat makes your Show day complete?
