Comfort Shopping #3: Ladybug Mouse and Bowls

Where’s the food?! I hear you ask. Well, it’s a-comin’. But I have a couple more bits of comfort shopping to write about. I mentioned in one of the previous posts that my crappy Microsoft basic optical mouse will be replaced by something. I’m very excited about this! It’s definitely another jackdaw thing.

Read more about the mouse here. I know it’s meant for kids, but I have small hands. I just happened to be browsing eBay yesterday morning and saw a Buy It Now, with two mice available. I showed my friend Adam, who is a bit of a jackdaw like me. He was all “Oh I must have that!” and was prepared to split the postage with me if we got one each. But since it’s Adam’s birthday next month I said I’d buy him the mouse for his pressie, as well as get myself one.

And lastly, I swear this is it for a while. I can’t keep buying stuff! While I was at the shops yesterday I went to Thingz and picked up this set of four bowls for $4.99. I thought it might be cool to have some different coloured bowls for taking food photos with. They are microwave and dishwasher safe too (not that we have a dishwasher).

The funny thing about these bowls is that I had the Thingz catalogue sitting on my desk when I read this post (scroll down to Sunday October 23 and read “Carnivals and Carrot Sticks”) from Karen Cheng. Karen, your story about Callum was such a crack up! And it was even better because I had the picture of the angry red man right in front of me as I read it!

Ok, that’s enough posting about shopping. Food is coming right up.
