Speakers, still continued

After lots of research, I was keen on getting the Altec Lansing V3151R 5.1 speakers. They are the same as the VS3151 model, but with the R you get a cordless remote as well (what can I say, I love my gadgets!). But I couldn’t find anywhere locally (online or retail) that sold the R. I wanted to buy them from a WA place if possible, to cut down on freight costs (if ordered online) and make my life easier if there were any problems (much cheaper to RMA speakers to somewhere in WA than interstate). And of course, price was a consideration too.

I spoke with a Nintek* person on MSN and asked if they could get the R speakers. He/she said they could not, but if I decided I’d like the non-R speakers after all, I could have free delivery. After lots of agonising I decided to go ahead and order the non-R speakers. I told myself the corded control panel would suffice, and besides, I already have four remotes sitting in my desk drawer here… why would I need another? I also ordered a set of Vantec PCI/RAM slot protectors.

Well, my goodies arrived today. And guess what? According to the Nintek MSN person, someone “stuffed up” and I got the R speakers after all, for the price of the non-R! Hee hee!

Goodies

*Most of my pc parts came from Nintek. They are not necessarily the cheapest for everything, but they are reliable, provide good customer service/support and do have good deals for whirlpool members. Providing items are in stock, you get them quickly too. They have my recommendation as an online computer shop.
