I nearly got run over by this train on two occasions during the day.

We were keen to check out the cats, and headed to the Davis Cat Pavilion.

According to this chart, our cats are around 36 human years old, so I’m the baby of our family!

I love watching the pedigree cats being judged. This lovely British Shorthair cat was obviously an old hand at it – it was so placid and so patient as it was lifted up and down, poked and prodded and scrutinised.

After the cats, we decided to head over to the baby animal farm – but on the way, fresh hot donuts beckoned. This donut was a little wonky looking but was delicious – just the perfect balance of crispy freshly deep-fried, sugar-studded outside and sweet, chewy inside. I had to exercise self-restraint so as not to burn myself with over-enthusiastic devouring. Each crispy bite of the donut was just heavenly.
