Have a merry delicious Christmas!
This year, our family festivities will take place at lunches on Christmas Day and Boxing Day. The weather forecast is for a typical Perth Christmas Day scorcher – very hot and partly cloudy with a maximum temperature of 38C. Boxing Day will be sunny and windy with a top temperature of 36C.
Pictured below is a delicious chicken egg noodle soup I ate at Han’s Cafe while I was out Christmas shopping this week – tender steamed sliced chicken breast, springy yellow noodles and crunchy bok choy in a tasty rich brown broth.
I’ve been purposely eating lots of noodles and rice and curry this week as I know we’ll soon be feasting on roast meat and vegetables, cold meats and salad and other Christmas fare. I do love roast turkey and all the trimmings and the leftovers, but this year I am especially looking forward to my sister CW’s trifle!
I can’t wait to relax with family, laugh and eat and take photographs! My camera batteries are all charged up and my memory cards ready to be filled with lots of yummy pictures to share with you all.
