Home delivery Italian dinner
On Wednesday evening Jac worked late and I planned to make Thai green chicken curry for dinner. But when I got home I realised we didn’t have any coconut milk and I was tired and grumpy and just could not be bothered going back out to the shops again to buy some. I rang Jac to see if she’d be really late home and if not, maybe she could pick up the coconut milk on the way. But she had a better idea – she offered to grab takeaway from Roman Palace for our dinner.
Jac chose the Tortellini alla Panna (AU$13.50), which was veal and beef filled tortellini pasta in a creamy smoked bacon sauce.
I chose the Penne Pollo (AU$12.00), which was penne pasta with chicken breast pieces, sliced mushrooms and broccoli in a creamy white wine sauce.
We shared an Italian salad (AU$6.00), which was a fresh garden salad with a deliciously tangy Italian vinaigrette.
The creamy pasta sauces were absolutely gorgeous. You can see the full takeaway menu here. Why oh why can’t cream be an everyday food?!
