Wednesday, Part 1

On Wednesday morning, I met my sister J for a belated birthday (hers) breakfast. We went to a cafe on her university campus and proceeded to make perfect pigs of ourselves! She had bacon and scrambled eggs, toast and a hash brown. The clump of alfalfa was the garnish (noooooo she didn’t order it!).

J's breakfast

I had bacon and scrambled eggs, a hash brown and french toast, which was garnished with alfalfa too. I was amazed and impressed by the generous amount of bacon on our plates. There’s more bacon hidden under the hash brown in this picture, for example. It was nice bacon too – meaty, no rind, but with just the right amount of fat – I like my bacon to have a little fat on it. We washed our food down with big glasses of fruit juice (orange for her, pineapple for me) and were REALLY FULL by the time we were done.

It worked out to be around $12 a head, including our drinks. Not bad.
