Thursday’s work food
I started Thursday with a donut craving. I hadn’t had one of these for a long, long time. I grabbed a cinnamon donut from one of the bakeries near the city train station and held off eating it until I was settled at my desk at work with a hot mug of tea. This was so gooooood. I love donuts when they are evenly and generously covered in sugar, and when they have crispy bits – the tell-tale sign that they’ve been deepfried. You see the crispy edges in the hole of the donut? They were soooo tasty. I ate my donut from the outside in, saving the crispy centre of the donut till the end, just like how I hoard KFC skin until all the flesh has been eaten and the bones sucked dry.
I had gozleme for lunch again this week – this time I had lamb, spinach, sundried tomatoes, mushrooms and eggplant.
Cor, look at that!
One of my workmates bought some lollies to share for dessert! We had a dish of chocolate freckles…
…and a dish of spearmint leaves.
