Here’s a delicious takeaway dinner I enjoyed a couple of Fridays ago – chicken stir-fry with rice (AU$9.00) from Sapporo (186 Rutland Avenue, Carlisle).

The sauce was absolutely drinkable. The vegetables tasted fresh and delicious. I especially enjoyed the bean sprouts, broccoli and cabbage. The chicken was tender and tasty, but honestly, the dish was so good I would’ve enjoyed it even without the chicken (from a chicken fiend like me, that’s really saying a lot!). My only complaint was that they didn’t give me enough rice. But this was a definite winner, and I’ll be sure to order it again in future (with “double rice”, next time!). The chopsticks are my favourite ones, a present from Brad and Kelsie. I always use my own chopsticks if I can, as I always get splinters in my fingers from the disposable break-apart wooden ones you get with Japanese takeaway.
