Wednesday bento – cold BBQ chicken and stuffing, salad and fruit

For Jac: leftover barbecue chicken, salad (mixed greens, mushroom, yellow capsicum, leftover panfried potato cubes, blanched broccoli and green beans) and fruit (grapes and dried figs). Two salads and mystery fish

For dinner last Monday night, Jac made a garden salad, with mixed greens, yellow capsicum, mushrooms, cherry tomatoes and, for an extra crunch, sliced tinned water chestnuts. More homegrown cherry tomatoes

Here’s our second crop of cherry tomatoes from the same tomato bush as before. It works so well for our household – Jac does the hard yakka, the planting and watering and generally sweaty soil-turning, fingernail-dirtying stuff, then I swoop in to pick the produce, and of course photograph and eat it. :)
