Sausages and egg

Worked at home today. Fried up some pork sausages and had a couple for my lunch with a chinese omelette (chinese because it’s got soy sauce and white pepper beat into the eggs before frying). A very proteiny lunch. The plumber came over and changed four sets of taps and fixed the loo. We’ve needed […]

Savannah’s 8th birthday – Part 2

As the salads were being tossed, I sneaked off to take photos of the barbie. Here are the beef chipolatas. The blob of goop at the back is satay sauce, which we had on… …these chicken kebabs. We also had grilled chicken breasts too. I usually don’t enjoy chicken breasts (I always choose thighs, if […]

Sunday breakfast yet again

Oh yeah, and on Sunday morning before Jac began her gardening and I began working on the computer, this was our fuel: sausages, eggs, garlic mushrooms and tomato. The sausages were “heart smart” ones – they had less fat in them than normal sausages. As a result of this, they taste extremely meaty i.e. especially […]

Sunday breakfast

And today’s breaky: sausages, garlic mushrooms (yep, panfried with chunks of fresh garlic), two fried eggs (with cracked black pepper) and a plop of smokey barbecue sauce right in the centre. Jac added the parsley garnish for the photo. Looks good, hey? :) And happy birthday to jl! That’s it for now.

The week’s food

It’s been a horrendous week. Too much stuff to do, not enough time to do it in. I won’t bore you with the details. Jac made a delicious saucy stir-fry at the beginning of the week. She marinated the beef in corn flour and chinese rice wine. She stir-fried it with red capsicum, mushrooms and […]

How I lost my calluses

I know some of you skip the words and just look at the food. Well, here’s the food. I’ve got more food photos to post, but I’ll do that tomorrow. This is all I have for you, food-wise, tonight. Those of you who actually read what’s written here, keep reading, hopefully I won’t bore you […]

Another dinner featuring sausages

EDIT, 20/07/2006. I’ve had quite a bit of interest in the stir-fried brussels sprouts via comments and emails. It seems quite a few of you reckon they smell gross too! Hahaha. Anyway, for those interested, just a note: Jac did steam the brussels sprouts beforehand, so that they were not completely raw when added to […]

Craptastic week

It’s been an exhausting week. With morning and afternoon exam supervisions almost every day (including a couple of alternative exams that were over 4 hours long), I haven’t had much time or energy to do much else. I won’t go into details, but things have been less organised this time around, making everything much more […]

Sausages, vegetables, and then more sausages

On Wednesday night I arrived home to many delicious smells. Jac had cooked a yummy dinner of chicken sausages, oven-baked chips and oven-baked pumpkin sprinkled with sesame seeds. All I had to do was put down my backpack, kick off my sneakers, pull on my comfy tracksuit pants and grab some cutlery! But there was […]
