Sausage, bean and bacon casserole
Last Wednesday evening, Jac made a sausage, bean and bacon casserole.
She fried up onion and bacon pieces and added sliced cooked pork chipolatas we’d saved in the freezer, along with a tin of baked beans, black pepper, Worchestershire sauce and a little maple syrup. (There may have been other ingredients – this isn’t a recipe as such.) It was really delicious!
The broccoli was steamed and tasted fresh and crisp.
The mashed potatoes were fantastic. There was a little sour cream left over from Monday night’s dinner, and Jac used it in the mashed potatoes. The potatoes smelled just like sour cream and chive flavoured potato crisps but were, of course, soft and fluffy. Yum.
