Dinner at Juji and Jay’s

On Tuesday night we had dinner at my younger sister Juji’s new place, which she’s sharing with her boyfriend and two other friends. As regular readers will know, Juji is a great cook (between Jac, Juji and my mum, I’m kept very well fed!), so I was really looking forward to it. As expected, Juji […]

Yummy curry

Last night, Jac was in a cooking mood. She decided to use up this jar of korma curry paste that’s been sitting in the back of the fridge for some time. Voila – chicken korma with potatoes, carrots, pumpkin, peas and cauliflower. I’m eating some with rice as I write this post.

Nothing really happened today.

Nothing of note happened today. For lunch, I had a regular combination of fried rice, egg noodles, chicken curry and curried vegetables. Like the chicken laksa, the chicken curry was bloody good. They have a very talented cooker of curries in that kitchen! I’ve been trying to think of something interesting that happened today so […]

Last night we had a dinner to celebrate my eldest sister’s birthday. Mum also wanted to give my cousin and her hubby a good home-cooked meal before they return home with their new baby (they live in the country, and have been in Perth for the birth of the baby, who was born on the […]

Dinner, 25/09/2005

We had a family dinner on Sunday night to farewell my second sister and her hubby who were returning to Sydney that night. This was a home-cooked meal at my parents’ house. Here are the stir-fried vegies: And (unusually, for us!) a second vegie dish, of stir-fried watercress with garlic. This is kari hantu (literally […]

Friday Night Footy+ curry

Oh my god, what a butt-clenching finish! Yay, Eagles! Final score: West Coast Eagles 10.9. (69) Sydney Swans 10.5. (65) Match report from the official AFL site. Edit: Friday night footy with a big bowl of curry and rice – just perfect. Jac used chicken thighs, lots of onion, string beans, carrots and zucchini (courgette). […]
