Now, today, tomorrow, and always…

This is going to be one of those annoying posts that tells you how busy I currently am (how busy? THIS busy!) and that I will post photos galore as soon as I get the chance. We had a very busy weekend – off to the shops on Saturday, and then on Sunday Jac did […]

Happy at Home

Geeeez, it’s warm. Unfortunately, it feels like the start of cockroach weather. With Jac out at a Halloween party this evening, it was a good night to have an old favourite for dinner: fried SPAM, egg and rice with baked beans. Yeah, I was invited to the party too, but I don’t like parties and […]

RIP, Big Breakfast

I made a startling discovery yesterday (startling to me, anyway!). McDonald’s no longer serves the Big Breakfast. That era is now over, and all I have are my photos and memories (geez, so dramatic!). Yeah… no more Big Breakfast served in that environmentally unfriendly styrofoam packaging. No more soft, bland scrambled eggs served with …

Another stir-fry

And still more chicken! Jac made this stir-fry during the week for dinner, with chicken, mushrooms, red capsicum, carrots, green beans, chunky onion, ginger, garlic, soy and teriyaki sauce. We ate it with rice and it was delicious.

Sunday breakfast

And today’s breaky: sausages, garlic mushrooms (yep, panfried with chunks of fresh garlic), two fried eggs (with cracked black pepper) and a plop of smokey barbecue sauce right in the centre. Jac added the parsley garnish for the photo. Looks good, hey? :) And happy birthday to jl! That’s it for now.

Saturday night dinner

When Jac asked me what I felt like for dinner last night, I told her I’d like some sort of chicken dish, cooked with onions, garlic and mushrooms, in a sauce made with chicken stock and possibly white wine and herbs – no cream. I thought it might be nice to have green beans in […]

More Saturday morning food

We needed to pick up some groceries and drop off my new jeans for tailoring on Saturday morning, and so we grabbed a bite to eat while we were out at the shops (any excuse, really!). Do any of you have the same problem as me? I can never find any trousers or jeans that […]

A little trip to Morley yields goodies

On Friday afternoon, I went to the Nokia Customer Care Centre in Morley because I had two bright pixels on my mobile phone‘s main display, one green, one red. Nokia told me this sort of problem is rare (really? Given the number of people who have dead/stuck/bright pixel problems on all products with LCD screens, […]
