Cupcakes with Clinkers

It was workmate H’s birthday, and she brought in a big batch of cupcakes topped with icing and Clinkers. Sharp-eyed readers will notice some of the cupcakes had TWO Clinkers on top. Needless to say, those didn’t last long! Here is my chosen cupcake before it met with my teeth. The cupcakes were initially stashed […]

Breakfast- scrambled eggs, mushrooms and kaya toast

A recent home cooked breakfast – Jac panfried the mushrooms in butter and toasted the bread. I made the scrambled eggs. I spread kaya thickly on my toast – yum! In egg-related news, we’ve been discussing keeping chooks in our backyard again. We had three isa brown hens a few years ago, and their eggs […]

Bento – SPAM fried rice and red grapes

My bento lunch the next day: my favourite easy fried rice, made with SPAM, green beans and garlic. As usual, I flavoured the rice with a little oyster sauce, soy sauce and black pepper. In the other bento box compartment, red seedless grapes. This batch of grapes was wonderful – firm, juicy and sweet. Jac […]
