Friday night Thai dinner

We’d originally planned to go out for dinner last Friday night, but with all the stormy weather we decided staying home would be a better idea. Jac picked up some Thai takeaway on her way home, from the international food hall at East Victoria Park. She’d asked for pad pak with tofu, which is a […]

Bangers, mash, beans, corn and peas

Dinner last Monday: lamb and garlic sausages from Woolworths, with garlic mashed potatoes, peas and baked beans with corn kernels. The sausages had an enticing springy texture and were so well-seasoned I didn’t need any sauce. With fluffy garlicky mashed potatoes and bursty corn kernels and peas, it was a most satisfying meal – pleasura…

Chicken for dinner, chicken for lunches

For dinner last Sunday evening, Jac rubbed chicken thighs with a little olive oil and three different kinds of dried herbs – oregano, thyme and chives – then panfried them. She served the chicken with steamed sugar snap peas and garlic mashed potatoes – yum! After dinner we prepared some food for bento. I seasoned […]
