First meal cooked in new kitchen

The first proper meal Jac cooked in our new kitchen was a thai green chicken curry, with chicken thigh pieces, zucchini, onion and peas. It wasn’t the creamiest green curry, but really flavoursome, spicy and delicious! I enjoyed the leftovers the next day – for breakfast!

Lamb and carrot curry

Jac made this lamb curry for dinner recently. She used a curry mix from one of the half-jars we had in the fridge and cooked the lamb for ages so it was lovely and tender. But my favourite thing about the curry was the carrot chunks – they were so soft and sweet, and tasted […]

East Perth food, how I missed you!

MondayBreakfast, first day back at the old job in East Perth – one of J’s mystery lunch bar toasted ham and tomato sandwiches, on multigrain bread. The bread had been lightly buttered before toasting so it was golden-brown and extra delicious. Lunch was from the Monday bain marie special from 88 Royal lunch bar (88a […]

Dinner – Japanese chicken curry

Jac made chicken curry with it, with potatoes, onions and carrots. She didn’t crumb the chicken a la Japanese chicken katsu curry (see First taste of Japanese curry), [……

Home-cooked Indian-style dinner

A few weeks ago, I came home from work to the most delicious smells in the kitchen – Jac had cooked us an Indian-style dinner. I’ve said “Indian-style” as Jac made no claims to its authenticity, having had help from jars! It was great, though! She made a chicken curry and a vegetable curry, and […]
