Yes, I know, I’ve featured Japanese curry before. But I wanted to share this photo with you. For some reason, the vegetables in the thick curry sauce – the carrot and potato cubes – looked so good, so abundant, to me. This curry really sang out “EAT ME!”
Chicken katsu: Fish katsu: Both are served drizzled with barbecue sauce, with salad and a blob of Kewpie mayonnaise. You get a slice of lemon with the fish katsu. I can’t decide which I prefer.

We finally tried the box of Japanese golden curry mix I bought ages ago – this was the “medium” curry mix which, incidentally, tasted pretty mild :). A takeaway lunch, eaten in the staff lunch room on a rainy day: teriyaki chicken, vegetables and rice.
